I felt as though lately I’ve touched on some heavier topics and today, I really just wanted to have a good time and think about material items that bring me joy. Here’s a list of fun, useful, practical, and helpful things that play a part in my life daily.

Please let me know if you have or end up getting any of these and what you think!

  • Skims Masks– These are practical. They are also very cute and aesthetically pleasing. I love the neutral color palette you can choose from and how inexpensive they are
  • Skims Fit Everybody Scoop Neck Bra– I own a few of these and they have influenced me to probably never wear an underwire bra again. The fabric these are made of feels like butter on your skin and they mold to completely fit and support any size. I have never felt more comfortable wearing underwear than with this bra and that’s saying a lot because I have a lot to work with in this area, so feeling sturdy and secure is a big deal
  • Abercrombie Biker Shorts– These are newer to my collection and I am obsessed. They are legitimately the softest material I’ve ever felt and they fit wonderfully. They even smooth out the area and are the perfect length. As soon as I put on my 1st pair, I immediately went online and bought 2 more

  • Amazon Biker Shorts– The ONLY negative I have about the A&F shorts is that they don’t have pockets. I found these on Amazon a while back and have bought multiple pairs in the last few months. They are comfortable, slimming and have pockets that fit my giant phone perfectly. I love wearing these when I go for walks or work out so I can keep my phone handy if I happen to need it and so my steps can be correctly tracked
  • H&M Sweatpants– These are incredible. They are soft, oversized and fit perfectly. I love the color options and there’s not much else to say after that

  • Amazon Slippers– During the winter I like to wear close-toed slippers. I found these and they are a game changer. They are SO soft and fuzzy and have a memory foam sole that makes your feet feel loved and cared for
  • New Balance Walking Shoes– I found these at Nordstrom Rack and they are so great for my daily walks. I walk roughly 3.6 miles every morning and I was noticing that my cheaper walking shoes weren’t tight enough and my ankles would roll on the trails. Getting these has helped a lot with supporting my feet and ankles on rougher terrain

  • Bryan Anthony “Grief” Necklace– I couldn’t sleep after my dad died so there was a lot of late night online shopping. Ironically, an ad for a “grief” necklace popped up on my Instagram feed and I immediately bought 3 of them at 2am. I gave them to my mom and sister on Christmas Eve so we could all have the same necklace and bond over them. It was a very special moment to have and now every time I wear my necklace, not only do I think of them, but I think of the strength it takes to get through grief and that I have the power to do it
  • Target Wood Wick Candles– I love the sound of a wood wick candle while it burns. This brand has many different sizes and scents and they actually fill the room while lit.

  • Electric Lighter– I love collecting matchboxes. I also lose matchboxes. I hate lighters because no matter what I do I burn my fingers. Thankfully I bought the electric lighter everyone talks about and its life changing. It’s long and bendy and it will never run out of fuel because it’s rechargeable. Makes life A LOT easier.
  • Summer Friday’s Summer Skin Lotion– This makes your skin so so soft. It’s easy to rub into your skin and almost melts away. The smell makes you feel like you are on a vacation and never leaving

  • First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream– A few months ago I was having a really hard time with my skin. I was breaking out and couldn’t find a way to make it stop. I decided to completely change my skincare routine, did some research and this moisturizer was a game changer for me. I could feel it working immediately and it has kept my skin at bay and I don’t know if I’ll ever have another cream like this one

  • Boone’s Leash– Since I started walking Boone every single day and for multiple miles at a time we started noticing he was developing rashes under his arms where his harnesses would rub on his skin. He doesn’t have much fur on his belly/underarm area so we had to find a harness that avoided that area. We happened to walk into a pet store in Highland Park one day and saw this leash that also doubles as a harness. It goes around the neck and chest and leaves the arms alone. After a few lessons on how to put it on correctly (because it’s a bit complicated), it has quickly become such a blessing during our walks. It lessens Boone’s pulling, it gives me (almost) full control of this very strong little man and for that, I am grateful.

  • Boone’s Collar– This is purely because of how cute it is. I found this Etsy shop that engraves dog collars instead of having a dangling name tag. Boone plays so hard that we would always find his tags broken on the ground somewhere so this not only helps fix that problem but just looks very put together and adorable on him.

  • AHA Sparkling Water– Since I stopped drinking alcohol, sparkling water has been my go-to when I need something a little fancier than normal bottled or filtered water. I’ve tried a lot of brands and done research on which companies are better than others and AHA is a good one. There are no calories and the flavors are delicious

  • MARVEL– This sounds a bit silly, but watching all (or most) of the Marvel movies during quarantine has been something I really enjoy. I love the story lines, the connections, and the intensity between different movies and characters across so many years. And ok, WandaVision was one of the best things I’ve watched in a very long time. If you haven’t seen it, go watch it now. You’re welcome

  • Atomic Habits by James Clear– This book is simple. It has extremely easy instructions on how to really change your habits in your everyday life. It’s so helpful to see how easy it is to make positive shifts that can seriously improve your quality of life

  • Amazon Daily Planner– I can’t take credit for this one. J bought this for us at the beginning of the year and it’s been really good for me. I’m not the best at keeping planners going consistently but I’ve managed with this one. I like that it makes you think of something you are grateful for every day and it also has a spot to track your fitness and food for the day. It’s been really nice having a real routine because I can see it every morning
  • Sleep Aid Machine– This is newer to me but I’ve already started to see a difference. I saw this on a Tik Tok and decided to try it out. Like I said, I have had a hard time falling asleep ever since my dad passed away. I have tried facial massages that help you become tired, I’ve tried sleeping pills and melatonin which work great, but I hate how I feel the next morning so I don’t like using them daily. This little device emits a tiny pulse while you hold it in your hand. I don’t totally understand the science behind it but calms you, relieves anxiety, and helps ease you to sleep. So far, I’ve noticed that it works and that’s what matters to me

  • Headspace– This one is self-explanatory. I can’t afford a good therapist right now to deal with what’s going on mentally or emotionally so I’ve resorted to this app and it’s wonderful. There are so many different meditations you can choose from including a grief meditation that I have made my way through. I have really felt a sense of calm when I dedicate taking time during my day to spend a few minutes by myself and with my thoughts. No matter how sad, angry, or confused they might be

If you made it all the way through this list- thank you for letting me word vomit about my favorite current things that have made me happy. It always means so much
